  I used Google and Yelp positive reviews to find Dr Mandanant, bad idea. Never ever rely on these reviews on a pediatrician. Find a pediatrician from referral from friends/family or coworker instead. I am a first time parent, 2017. When my baby was born, didn't know what to expect and didn't know what to do as steps on what pediatrician was good or reliable and etc. Based from what my wife and I've read on Dr Mandanant, I just thought, okay... let's go check him out and see. -Facility wasn't clean. I expected a cleaner place for a newborn and children. -Hours were very limited and long lunch in between. Directed to urgent care for after hours and weekends. -Only 2 pediatrician available at office. Dr Bangera was the other. -Staff/front desk wasn't too helpful or knowledgeable. All this I was able to deal with, but what made write this negative review about this place was the misdiagnosis from the 2 doctors. My baby has eczema at 4weeks old, but being a new parent, didn't know what it was. The 2 doctors was unable diagnosis what the rash was at the beginning, saying it was baby acne and it'll just go away on it's own in a few weeks to a few months. Just avoid using soap on body or detergent for clothes. Okay..... ... But things got worse, and being a parent, just can't avoid this problem and take their words for it. Went back a few more times and they finally acknowledge it was baby eczema and they prescribed hydrocortisone cream 1% for the baby. At this point, the eczema has gotten worse and flare has gotten so bad, my baby was in pain, oozing and weeping on her open wounds. Hydrocortisone cream won't work at this point. My wife and I was desperate and ask them for a pediatric dermatologist referral. This was the part that made our blood boil with this office. No referral from them, as they don't care or just want to keep our business to themselves. Seriously?? After constantly calling for a referral at the office, saying they would have to clear that with our insurance and etc. We have Blue Cross not some Medical they take from other patients.... Again, being first time parents, we were desperate and we kept searching our options and just had to switch pediatrician. Our new pediatrician was able to refer a pediatric dermatologist at UCSF on the first visit without an issue and meet a specialist on the same day, not weeks on end or just sitting and waiting for something to happen with these 2 incompetent doctors. New pediatrician said, if we were to wait any longer, our baby may have been hospitalized. Seriously..... What was wrong with Dr Mandanant and Dr. Bangera??? My goodness!!? We were able to get some proper medication for our baby and literally overnight with the medication, the eczema was controlled. Our baby was stuck with this rash for nearly 3months because of these incompetent 2 doctors that call themselves doctors. If you can't diagnosis something, make a referral to someone who is knowledgeable in a certain field. Don't assume and ignore the problem. Again, you can believe theses positive reviews for this place, which was what I did initially, but with personal experience, I can no longer trust these positive reviews for Dr. Mandanant office or even Dr Bangera at the office. It's a baby, misdiagnosis can be dangerous and deadly.

  Dr. Madanat is a terrific pediatrics Dr. He is kind and gentle with my child - he stays past closing to see a sick child, my daughter adores and looks forward to seeing him. He runs the type of practice I remember from my own childhood - a true family Dr.
